Hitotsubashi ICS Symposium held by Professor Yamagishi

On May 26, Professor Toshio Yamagishi held a symposium at Hitotsubashi ICS.

Professor Yamagishi, adjunct professor at ICS since April 2014, gave a presentation focused on the dynamic interplay between human psychology and the macro social structure. The research topics he is working on include trust, cooperation, altruism and reciprocity. More than 100 people from academia and the business world attended.

In 2013, Professor Yamagishi was selected as a recipient of the 'Person of Cultural Merit' honour, a decoration second only to the 'Order of Culture', which gives recognition to individuals from a wide range of fields for their significant contribution to Japanese culture, its advancement and further development.
