Ms. Satoko Suzuki (DBA Graduate) receives Honorable Mention Award from the Japan Society for Commodity Science.

Ms. Satoko Suzuki, a senior lecturer at Kyoto University's Graduate School of Management and who graduated from ICS's DBA program in 2011, recently received an Honorable Mention Award from the Japan Society for Commodity Science at the Society's awards ceremony held on 27 June 2015 at Kyoto Gakuen University.

Ms. Suzuki wrote "Diffusion of Self-Gift Consumer Behavior in Interdependent Cultures: The Case of Self-Reward Consumption Practice in Japan" for her DBA thesis and published a paper, "Re-examination of the role of media in the meaning-construction system: Creation of meaning by media", from the thesis in 2012. It is for this paper that she received the Honorable Mention Award.
