Students visited Tesla Yokohama as part of Digital Disruption class
On Oct 5th, Professors Yoshi Fujikawa and Emi Osono's Digital Disruption class made a visit to Tesla Yokohama, the company's largest dealer/service center in Japan. Tesla has agreed to join us as client for final team project assignment for the new required MBA course, Digital Disruption, and kindly hosted the kickoff session at their site. This great learning opportunity has been made possible through generous cooperation from Olivier Le Lann (Director HR, North & South-East Asia, Tesla Motors; ICS MBA Class of 2009).
At the session,Olivier shared the company overview with students and discussed about their unique marketing/branding/advertising strategies and innovative technologies and services. After the discussion, Olivie and his colleagues conducted a facility tour for students' deeper understanding of the products and charging services.
Through the project, students work on the development of "digitally disruptive" business proposals, addressing local needs specific to Japan, yet transferable to the rest of the world. The final proposal will be presented to Tesla executives on December 16th.
