A Global Residence Program Study Tour was held at Hitotsubashi ICS for students from Seoul University

Study tour1.JPGA Global Residence Program Study Tour for approximately 30 students was held on Nov.14th & 15th by Hitotsubashi ICS for students from the Graduate School of Business at Seoul National University in Seoul, one of the strategic alliance (BEST alliance) schools of ICS.

Participants attended first together with the ICS students, the "Corporate Finance" class given by Professor Tomonori Ito as well as "Social Trends in Japan and Implications for Business "by Professor Kangyong Sun. This was followed by a visit to two leading institutes, Nomura Securities Co., Ltd. and Aeon Co., Ltd.
Company Visits offered participants a precious opportunity to directly experience the business administration in Japan. At Nomura, lectures were given by CEO Mr. Kunihiro Goto, Senior officer Mr. Naoto Hashimoto and Mr.Kunimoto combined together with a tour of the trading floor, which inspired participants to raise many questions.Stuty tour2.JPG

At Aeon, HR Responsible Mr. Takeharu Takahashi provided information on the company history and philosophy, and Ms. Chiyo Sakurai of Aeon Pet gave explanation on the pet business and guided the participants for a tour of the pet mall in Aeon Mall Makuhari Shintoshin. Active discussions were unfolded through the presentations and observation tour.

Peking University's Guanghua School of Management (in BEijing), the Graduate School of Business at Seoul National University (in Seoul) and Hitotsubashi ICS (in Tokyo) together have been developing energetic activities based on the BEST alliance since last year. This study tour has been enormously well-received among the participants.
