PC010107.JPGOn December 1st, Hitotsubashi ICS held the Conference on Competitiveness 2016, Porter Prize Award Ceremony at Hitotsubashi hall.

It opened with remarks from Prof. Kaz Ichijo, Dean of Hitotsubashi ICS along with greetings from Mr. Kimura of PwC Japan Group and Mr. Nakamura of Mitsubishi UFJ Morgan Stanley Securities Co., Ltd.PC010092.JPG

The Winners of Porter Prize 2016 was proudly announced by Prof. Hiroshi Kanno and each gave a presentation on their business content. This year, we were honored to have Professor Michael E. Porter himself to give us an impressive lecture on "How Smart, Connected Products are Transforming Competition and Companies". It was followed by an interactive discussion between Prof. Porter, Mr. Kuromoto of Komatsu and Prof. Yoshi Fujikawa.

Prof. Ken Kusunoki coducted an interview with each winner in the second-half which gave a warm impact to the audience, and Prof. Emi Osono gave the ending remarks for the conference.
