The 13th GNAM Deans & Directors Meeting in France
May 10-12, 2018, the 13th Global Network's Deans & Directors Meeting in France iwas hosted by HEC Paris and Dean, Kaz Ichijo and Prof. Yoshi Fujikawa attended. Deans and directors from 30 business schools around the world get together every six months, with the spirit of "walk-the-talk"ing the "rapid-prototyping" and "failing-fast" approach to advanced management education.
On DAY 2, the first time ever, representatives from ALL the 30 member schools present at the meeting. Peter Todd of HEC started off the day full of exploration and experimentation ideas on network-based approach to alumni involvement, career services, communications reachout, and entrepreneurship and innovation education.
Also attendees had a chance to go visit Station F, the epicenter of French startup ecosystem. Eloic Peyrache led the session "Education & Entrepreneurship at Station F" with input from Berkeley Haas, ESMT, INCAE, and Technion, followed by testimonials from the frontiers in the future of education. Fascinated by the mind-blowing story of "42" - the teacher-less, course-less, and everything-less coding school!
