EMBA Global Network Week Tokyo - DAY 2
Opens with an orientation to the week's core project: Proposing innovative solutions to Japan's challenges as a super-aging society. On Friday, students will present their ideas to client companies Orix and Hokan. Yoshi Fujikawa (Hitotsubashi ICS) and Taku Furukawa (Tokyo Fabhub) set the stage with a talk on the background on Japan's aging society, and Aiko Umehara of Pasona discussed how the Japanese HR industry is developing aging society solutions. This afternoon: Company visits in the field to learn more and firsthand about this topic.
Fujisawa SST - Sustainable Smart Town. This innovative Smart Town was co-developed by the public sector and private companies, making use of leading-edge sustainable technology. And it's very smart. Powered by solar energy, it integrates EV car sharing, advanced emergency preparedness services, IoT-equipped homes, and more.
The smartness continued in a visit to Orix Good Time Living Center. Keeping with the "Super Aging Society" program theme we got to see a state-of-the-art elderly care facility that combines pioneering devices and IoT to give guests the best care possible. Mr. Morikawa, President of Orix Living Corporation, spoke to us about the company and even gave us a tour of the center.
