Tom Kamegai received his Bachelor of Graphic Design (BFA) degree from the Academy of Art University, San Francisco in the United States.
Mr. Kamegai has 20 years of experience in the brand design industry and opened his own company, Gravity One Inc., in the winter of 2004. His rich experience leading various international projects gives him the unique ability to execute clients’ business objectives in terms of strategy development and design creation in both consumer as well as corporate branding. His work in packaging, identity, and collateral design has allowed his clients to make their businesses more successful and profitable.
Mr. Kamegai worked with Michael Osborn Design in San Francisco from 1993-1997; with Landor Associates International Limited, Tokyo Branch from 1998-2002; with Desgippes Gobé Group, Tokyo Branch from 2002-2004; and established his own company, Gravity One Inc. in 2004.
His clients for corporate branding in Japan and abroad include 45rpm Studio, Hitotsubashi University, Musashino University, Morgan Stanley, Tokyu Hotels, Spain Bank Associates, China Media Group, TOQ/Portugal Telecommunication, and Promax. His clients for consumer branding in Japan and abroad include Alcon, Asahi Beverage, 45rpm Studio, Fromagies Bel, Nivea-Kao, P&G, Hill’s-Colgate, Mercian, Mikasa Kaikan, NEC, Philip Morris, 7&I Holdings, Yokohama Grand Intercontinental Hotel, Coca-Cola, Sutter Homes Winery, San Francisco Modern Art Museum, Jack Daniel’s, Johnson & Johnson’s, Seiko-Epson, Dumex, Nestle, and P&G.
