Management of Energy Business (MBA)

Yoshikazu Kurasawa is a Special Advisor of INPEX CORPORATION, a position he assumed in June 2019 and a member of the Board of Councilors of the Institute of Energy Economics, Japan (IEEJ).

Mr. Kurasawa joined INPEX in 2004 and served as General Manager of the Business Development and Legal Unit, becoming became an Executive Officer in 2007. From 2012 until assuming his current position, he served as a member of the INPEX Board and Senior Vice President of the New Venture Division responsible for upstream business development and corporate planning.

Throughout the 1990s, Mr. Kurasawa held a variety of managerial positions related to project planning for the Middle East, Asia, and Oceania, as well as to oil exploration activities, with Japan National Oil Corporation (JNOC), which he joined in 1982.

Mr. Kurasawa graduated from Tohoku University with a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in Geophysics in 1978 and 1980, respectively

He is a member of the Society of Exploration Geophysicists of Japan (SEGJ) and the Association of Petroleum Engineers of Japan.
