Admissions Policy

MBA Program in School of International Corporate Strategy at Hitotsubashi University Business School is designed for students with work experience to learn a wide range of basic concepts related to corporate management and international markets, and to cultivate the high level of analytical and communication skills needed to respond to rapidly evolving technology, demographic and geopolitical changes, to deeply consider various issues that arise in the real world, and to provide creative solutions not only to Japan but also to the world.

Because the program requires intense and demanding study, students must have a clear awareness of issues related to corporate management and their own careers, as well as the intellectual ability to acquire advanced specialized knowledge and analytical skills. The core of these intellectual abilities are basic thinking and communication skills. Furthermore, a sense of mission and a high level of ethics to solve various problems in society are also essential.

In order to select such students, we evaluate their abilities and motivation from various perspectives through the submission of GMAT or GRE scores, self-analysis essays and other materials, and an oral examination to confirm their thinking and communication skills. In addition, we require applicants to have at least two years of work experience as a basic requirement for applying to this program.
