Each year, nearly one half of our second-year students choose to study abroad for a term at one of 19 renowned partner institutions across the globe. By participating, you will:

  • Expand your international connections and build lifelong relationships

  • Deepen your understanding of global business dynamics
  • Earn credits

Your choice of destination can depend on factors such as region, language, course offerings, program length, or even your post-MBA career plans. Please note that exchange placements are competitive.

Nomination Process

Only ICS students enrolled in the 2-year MBA program are eligible to participate in the Exchange Program at partner school.
Students in the 1-year MBA program are not eligible to join the Exchange Program, and it is not possible to switch from the 1-year to the 2-year program after the admission process has been completed.

Apply to and be admitted by Hitotsubashi ICS.

Step 2

 

Attend the annual Exchange Program information session held in December during your first year of studies.

Step 3

 

Submit up to three school preferences for the internal competitive selection and approval process by mid-January.

Step 4

 

Wait for the result announcement in late January.

Step 5

 

Once the results are announced, your nomination will be submitted to the partner school.

Receive a welcome letter from the partner school.

Step 7

 

Begin preparing for your exchange experience.
