Hitotsubashi University Business School ICS would be delighted to invite you to the Conference on Competitiveness 2026 organized by the Porter Prize. 

The Porter Prize was established to bestow recognition on Japanese companies that have achieved and maintained superior profitability in a particular industry by implementing unique strategies based on innovations in products, processes, and ways of managing. The name of the award is derived from Professor Michael E. Porter of Harvard University, a leading authority on strategy with a longstanding interest in Japan.

At the conference, Professor Ken Kusunoki will interview the executives of the award-winning companies, who will share the appeal of their award-winning competitive strategies. In addition, we will host a panel discussion titled “Winning Business Strategies in the Age of AI ”, facilitated by Professor Takashi Nawa.
