Organizational Behavior (MBA), Leadership and Career in Japan (MBA), Qualitative Method (DBA)Sungchul Noh is an associate professor in the School of International Corporate Strategy at Hitotsubashi University Business School in Japan. His research interests include professional work, career and platform labor with a particular focus on the IT and media industry. His work has appeared in Organization Science, Journal of Management Studies, Journal of Industrial Relations, and Human Resource Management Journal. He earned his doctorate from the Desautels Faculty of Management at McGill University.
His ongoing projects delve into critical areas, such as how professional workers engage with social injustice and become activists within their workplaces, drawing insights from media professionals in South Korea. Additionally, he investigates the career and skill trajectories of migrant professionals in Japan and the evolving landscape of HRM practices among large Japanese companies.
